FOGHORN - Vintage TYFON Plunger Type (replica)

This is a very good vintage reproduction cast brass and copper TYFON plunger type ship's foghorn with an oval shape brass maker's plaque riveted to the copper horn. The plaque reads TYFON TRADE MARK, KOKUMS MLK (sic) VERKSTAD MALMO SWEDEN (see image below). The 10.5 cm diameter cylindrical plunger tube is capped top and bottom with cast brass end caps and three brass rods hold it all together. The bottom is bolted to a wooden base.

The horn is 40.6 cm long, including the brass back grill in which is has TYFON PATENT cast in stencil form.

The plunger rod has a wooden handle.
