Barometer (Large), Circa Mid 19th Century
Category: Meteorological Instruments
This is a very nice Victorian era mahogany cased wall barometer/thermometer with carved rope edge. The 16 cm (6¼") dial is protected by beveled edge glass which is held in place by a brass bezel.
The mercury filled thermometer has both Farenheight and Centigrade scales.
The mahogany case has a diameter of 23.8 cm (9⅜") and overall depth is about 6 cm.
The dial has some staining consistent with age. |
