Nautical Style

This is a genuine Japanese blue-green glass fishing float with netting made from long-line hitched hemp rope. A telescopic orange plastic marker tube extends from the top of the float.

The hand-blown glass ball has been sealed with a 'button' of melted glass and is impressed with a three part Kanji character (yet to be identified).

The glass is in perfect original condition and the rope netting is more than 97% complete, with only minor breakage and a few frayed knots at the bottom end.

Overall diameter is approximately 33 cm (13"). The length of the telescopic orange plastic tube is 33 cm (13") and its diameter tapers from 48 mm to to 34 mm.
